Puppy Classes


These classes help owners build the foundation for a well-behaved dog, through positive management of puppy behavior stages and establishing patterns of good behavior.
 

Oh Baby!  For puppies 8 - 16 weeks

  • Problem solving (mouthing/chewing, jumping, potty training)

  • Allowing handling/grooming

  • Teach calmness & manners

  • Beginning leash manners & polite greetings

  • Begin working on sit, down, stay

Baby Steps! For puppies 4- 8 months

  • Problem solving (mouthing/chewing, jumping,  potty training

  • Games that teach puppies to love learning/listening

  • Every day manners

  • Leash manners & polite greetings

  • Recall (come when called)

Puppy Playschool! For puppies 8-12 months

  • Leash manners & polite greetings

  • Every day skills (sit, down, stay)

  • Working through excitement, distraction, fear

  • Household manners (wait, go to place, leave it)

  • And more​

S.T.A.R. Puppy For puppies up to 1 year

  • Socialization: What to do & what not to do

  • Training: Basic handling, basic everyday skills, problem solving (mouthing, jumping, potty training)

  • Activity: Appropriate exercise and activities for puppies

  • Responsible Ownership: Attend all 6 weeks of class and tick off the boxes to apply for the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Title Certificate (mixed breeds also eligible)

What's Next?
Upon completion of puppy classes you may choose to enroll in Adult Basics, CGC Prep & Test, or a dog sport class offering.
